This is an enviable life!
The Never Ending Roadworks in Edinburgh city centre rumble on. Slowly. And with no signs of any trams.
Ok so this is the closest I have got to daylight all week and is just a quick snap on my iPhone on a rush to an appointment but the castle is always lovely!
Random objects from around the house #1This might seem very simple to all you experienced photographers but I’m just moving out of auto & into manual so each picture takes careful consideration & time at the moment while I work out the settings for the light. It’s easy when you know how but I’m still learning, hopefully by the end of the year I’ll have made progress!
Ok so I’ve cheated again but I’ve been trying to do something with my camera in manual mode for half the day and have failed! I couldn’t face posting another rubbish picture so here is one that I took in November last year.
It’s the view from Calton Hill in Edinburgh which is about a 5 minute walk from my home (and then a 10 minute walk up a steep hill!). I went up there because I thought the sunset would be nice that day and I was right! It’s always lovely views from up there but it’s quite special in the right light.
Ok, so I have to admit that I’m cheating here…I didn’t take this picture today! But it was dark when I went to work and dark when I got home from work and I’m feeling rubbish so I’ve just come home and collapsed!
This is a picture from December 2009 I think. For those who don’t know Edinburgh it’s the Scott Monument on Princes St through the big wheel.
I promise to try harder at the weekend and take something nice to post here!
So….TERRIBLE quality today because I tried to zoom in on my iPhone but as the weather is so disgusting outside in Edinburgh I couldn’t face going outside so here is one of our cats trying to steal my flatmate’s dinner!
